Art Deco Jewelry 1917 - 1940
Art Deco was coined at the 1925 Paris L'Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes. Geometric lines and abstract angular motifs emerged from the organic lines of Art Nouveau. Cubism, Jugendstil, and Egypt influence the design of many of these uniquely “moderne” works of art that adorn the body.
