14K White Gold Art Deco Natural Sapphire Filigree Ring

$1,325.00

This 14k white gold ring features a natural sapphire in an Art Deco mount. The sapphire is a gorgeous shade of medium blue with grayish undertones. In the sunlight, the stone sparkles with an even more vibrant shade of blue, and the stone’s cut gives it a lot of depth. The sapphire is prong set in an ornate, hand-engraved carriage with leaf details along the band. The carriage has a high profile that is reminiscent of a garden gate, a motif that was popular on the cusp of the Art Deco and Edwardian eras. The bottom of the carriage is open, allowing light to shine through the sapphire. The filigree work seen in this ring is a perfect example of what the Edwardian and Art Deco eras were known for.

The sapphire measures 6.75 mm across and weights approximately 1 carat. It is a round, antique cut stone. The ring is marked as 14k gold. The ring weighs 1.85 grams.

Ring size 4.5, and could be sized up or down 1-2 sizes.

Circa 1920's.
