Art Deco 14K White Gold Old Mine Cut Diamond Engagement Ring

$3,200.00

This 14k white gold Art Deco ring features a diamond that is older than the ring. The antique Victorian era diamond is Old Mine Cut, and also cushion cut, square in shape with soft rounded corners. The diamond is held in place by three prongs on each corner of the diamond, so the diamond presents as a soft square in shape. The setting is open on the sides, allowing visibility of the stone from every angle. Because the diamond has so much depth, it appears to sit high above the ring, but this is actually the profile of the stone itself. It is flanked on either side by two smaller single cut diamonds. From the side, the ring’s setting is lacy and feminine. A simple, clean classic diamond ring that makes a perfect engagement ring or addition to a ring stack.

The natural antique Old Mine Cut diamond is VS2 in clarity, H-I in color. It has a large open culet and high tables, and is filled with the beautiful facets that antique diamonds provide. The stone is .85 of a carat and measures 5.2 x 5.4 x 4.14 mm. The four natural antique single cut diamonds are .15 mm each. The ring’s TCW is .90 of a carat.

The ring weighs 2.56 grams. Unmarked but acid tests as 14k.

Ring size 6.25.
