Art Nouveau Jewelry 1890 - 1914
Distinctly French, this period is filled with seductive flowers, natural forms, and ethereal women all depicted through organic and stylized forms. Similar to Jugenstil in Germany and the Arts & Crafts movement of Britain, hand-made jewelry was often encrusted with moonstones and amethysts in artful designs. A return to nature and fantasy were a rebellion against the Industrial Age.
