These drop-shaped rock crystal earrings are wrapped in masterfully hand engraved diamond encrusted cage settings. The 18k white gold setting swirls around the crystals, mimicking their shape to create a fabulous Art Deco-like piece. The earrings are circa the 1970’s or 1980’s, but have the old school workmanship of an earlier era, like hand engraved foliate details and beautiful milgrain work. The drops dangle from a single bezel set diamond that connects to the earrings’ 18k gold ear wire. The earrings were crafted with careful attention to detail, and the hand engraved bright cut work makes it appear that the entire silver swirl is encrusted with diamonds, as light reflects from both the stones and the engraved white gold. When the rock crystals catch the light, they glow from within.
In total, there are 114 natural diamonds. Each earring is encrusted with 56 1 mm diamonds in a shared bead setting, and a single 2 mm diamond in a bezel setting. Combined, the earrings contain .6 of a carat of diamonds. They are SI2 in clarity, G-H in color.
The earrings measure 1.5” from top to bottom. The drops are 7/8” x 1/2” at their widest point. Combined, they weigh 17.35 grams. The earrings have secure clasps that snap shut with a click. Marked 750.
These graceful dangles are ornament-like and festive—a great pair of earrings to wear to a party. They look fabulous alone, but we also have a matching pendant available in our shop for a more integrated look. See our 18K White Gold Diamond Drop Rock Crystal Necklace w/ Hand Engraved Cage Setting.
