Vintage Enamel Souvenir Bracelet from France

This is a charming vintage souvenir bracelet from France. Souvenir bracelets were particularly popular during the World War II era. Soldiers would bring these bracelets home as souvenirs from the cities they had been stationed in. These bracelets would undergo the unique process of being dye stamped under extreme pressure and then hand filled with enamel and melted into the nooks and crannies creating these color segments.

This lovely souvenir bracelet features seven different plaques that depict different coat of arms for various regions. From left to right the plaques are: Champagne, the Pays Basque, the Franche-Comte, Bretagne, Orleanais, Normandie, and Artois. This bracelet has all its original parts, including a slide clasp. This piece is in good condition with minimal signs of wear. Each plaque is approximately 1/2 an inch in size. This bracelet would fit a 6 1/2 inch wrist.

This bracelet would make the perfect holiday gift for the Francophile in your life, or a wonderful addition to your jewelry collection. Vive la France!
