Vintage Carrie Adell 18K & 14K Gold Mokume Pebble Ring

$1,050.00

An incredible Vintage ring made by the studio artist Carrie Adell. She's best known for taking familiar and organic forms and transforming them into wearable pieces of jewelry. This ring features an acid washed 18k gold pebble with organic lines of rose gold,  blackened gold on both the front and back. The gold pebble swivels on a 14k shank with an open and modern design.

The swooping lines are something to admire, mimicking the natural weathering of stones. They are crafted using the Japanese Mokume Gane technique. In this process, layers of contrasting colored metals are fused, using very high heat and pressure, then forged and twisted to develop complex patterns.

The gold pebble measures 1" by 1/2" and is marked "C.Adell" and "1990". The ring is a size 4 1/2 and it weighs 5.7 grams. This ring cannot be missed. It's a work of art and makes an incredible gift or addition to your jewelry collection.

Carrie Adell was active as a jewelry artist during the the 1980’s - 1990’s.
