This 18k gold pave garnet ring is encrusted with 2 mm round garnets to create a beautiful sparkle of gold and wine-colored stones in a heart shape. The garnets are held in a shared bead setting, which creates an alternating pattern of gold and garnets, almost checker board-esque, as if the surface of the heart was flecked with gold. There is nice carriage work along the sides of the ring that extends up to become the first set of prongs that hold the stones in place. Circa the 1960’s or 1970’s, this makes a great sweetheart ring and is perfect for heart lovers.
The ring contains 27 natural 2 mm round garnets. It is marked on the inside as 750 and 18k. The hallmarks indicate that the ring is most likely Italian.
The face of the ring measures 1/2” x 1/2”. The band is 1.8 mm. The ring weighs 2.8 grams.
Size 5.75; sizable.
