Circa the 1970’s or 1980’s, this 14k gold gemstone necklace is bold and unique. Three amoebic floral shaped gemstones come together in a form reminiscent of a cellular organism. The organic setting holds the stones in place with prongs and the surrounding gold is textured, as if hammered. Amethyst, citrine, and tourmaline cabochons are carved with lines like flower petals and the stones glow when held up to the light. The pendant connects to a thick, woven chord like chain that is made of spiraling gold wires. There is something juicy and candy-like about this piece that we love. A one-of-a-kind piece that makes a statement.
The pendant measures 1 3/8” x 1 1/4”. The chain measures 17.5” and is 3.25 mm thick. The piece weighs 32.2 grams. There is a barrel clasp with a safety feature. The piece is marked 14K and ITALY.
