This vintage 14k gold fob features a beautifully faceted, saturated blue paste stone. The top of the fob consists of a central flower that cascades into two leaf-like elements. At the base, a border of repeating flowers makes a daisy chain; below it is another layer of border with hand engraved geometrics shapes. The final border becomes the bezel, which holds a blue paste stone in place. The stone, which is made from glass, is cut with a myriad of facets, is a lovely shade of blue and mesmerizing to look into.
The fob weighs 9.3 grams. It is 1” x 3/4”, plus an additional 8 mm bail that is engraved with a floral motif. The paste stone measures 3/4” x 1/2”. Unmarked but acid tests as 14k gold. Circa 1960’s-1970’s Italy.
