Everyone loves a mechanical charm! As a child, I was intrigued by charms that had movement or could do a special trick. This one falls into that category. The 14k gold box is open on two sides to show the tiniest deck of cards contained inside it. A working hinged door can be opened and closed so that the entire deck can be seen. The side of the box has a picture of four cards—one of each suit—held together by a hand. One of the open frames shows the Queen of Diamonds, while the other shows the blue and white polka dotted back of the cards (though the cards could be rearranged so that any card of your choice is shown in the frame). Circa the 1960’s, this little charm has a vintage feel to it that captures the magic of a tiny working object being worn as a charm.
The charm measures 7/16” x 3/8” x 3/8” (not including the 4 x 5.5 mm bail). It weighs 2.7 grams. It is marked as 14k, with the maker’s mark JMF.We hope you are not planning to play poker with this adorable deck of cards! This is a novelty item and much too tiny to contain all 52 cards found in a standard deck. Wearing a tiny deck of cards is sure to make a great good luck charm!
