Victorian Era Gold Plate Floral Scarf Brooch
This Victorian era brooch has an intricate architectural design and composition, with flowers and foliage, as well as bright-cut pattern-work. This piece is made of gold plate, and has a nice bright yellow color to it. It has an undulating rectangular form, and mimics that which it curls around perfectly. This brooch is a scarf brooch, with a pin on the back that allows for it to easily hook onto a piece of cloth.
The piece is not marked but has been tested as gold plate, and from the designs we know it is a late Victorian era piece. The clip measures approximately 2 by 1 inch in size. There is some black enamel work on the face, mostly in the leaf vines, but it it slightly worn. This Victorian piece is shiny yellow gold in color, and an affordable alternative to solid gold pieces.
