Converted from a Victorian era stickpin, we mounted this 14k gold lion head onto a custom ring band. The lion’s profile is in three quarters view. It is well-sculpted in incredible bas relief with lots of dimensionality. The lion holds an Old European Cut diamond in his mouth, with tiny teeth serving as the prong setting. His eyes glow with two tiny garnets. The lion’s face is wonderfully realistic, with a heavy brow and lots of delineation in the mane. This is a great piece for someone needing protection or help channeling their inner courage. 

The natural Old European Cut diamond is bright and lively and .10 of a carat and 2.5mm. The garnets measure 1 mm each. The ring weighs 5.65 grams. The lion’s profile measures 1/2” x 9/16” x 5/16”. The ring is unmarked but acid tests as 14k.
