Victorian 14K Gold Intricate Woven Wirework Horseshoe Pendant with Diamonds

When we came across a pair of 14k gold Victorian horseshoe cufflinks, we were struck by the intricacy of the wirework, which was unlike any wirework we had ever seen before. Upon close inspection, you can see that the wires are woven into a beautiful pattern that cascades around the shape of the horseshoe in a way that is visually stunning. From the side, you can see where the wire is attached, yet the complexity of the weaving makes it hard to imagine exactly how the pattern was created—making this a very special piece. We decided to convert the cufflinks into pendants, and our jeweler added a line of micro pave, eight diamonds along the top, along with a black rhodium finish to make the diamonds pop. Off to the left hand side, we added a jump ring that would allow to the pendant to hang askew from a chain. We love that this pendant is not only a horseshoe—a classic symbol of good luck—but also reminds us of a horseshoe magnet. The horseshoe magnet’s gift is that its curved shape means its north and south poles are close together, which makes its pull incredibly strong. This pendant could be worn as a lucky magnet, drawing good things into your orbit so that you are always surrounded by luck and abundance. 

The pendant contains eight natural round cut diamonds that measure 1.25 mm each, for a TCW of 0.10 of a carat. 

The pendant measures 7/8” x 11/16” and is 3/16” deep. The bail is 4.9 x 7.4 mm. It weighs 6 grams. Marked as 14k gold and contains a hallmark a large G with a J and N inside the G.
