When we found this ring, it was a Victorian era ring that had seen better days. The diamonds remained beautifully set in their original star-shaped mounts, but the surrounding engravings had faded. The engravings seemed to be a suggestion of swirling celestial energy, and we wanted to bring them back to life. I brought the ring to my engraver who completely reinvigorated the design and incorporated his own creative approach. Now there are beautifully carved swirls that wrap around the stars in a flowing design that makes you want to keep turning the ring to see the way the engravings swoop across the cigar band. Because he mostly engraved using the ring’s original aesthetic as a map, the ring’s antiquity was preserved while also introducing a fresh element to the piece, making it better than ever before. 

The ring contains 17 natural antique diamonds in a combination of transitional and single cuts, with a TCW of approximately 0.7 carats. The stones are bead set in carved out five and seven-point star-shaped settings. The bigger diamonds are approximately 4mm and the smaller diamonds are approximately 2mm. They are G-I in color and VS2-SI1 in clarity. 

The band measures 11.8 mm wide. It weighs 11.75 grams. Marked 14k gold. If you are a lover of one-of-a-king celestial jewelry, this is the piece for you.
