This Victorian-era necklace has been converted from a stick pin into a pendant hung from an elegant gold chain. The pendant is in the shape of an inverted shield, with a thin vertical bar cutting across its center. Suspended from the bar is a tiny Old Mine Cut diamond in a buttercup setting.
Though the pendant’s filigree is delicate and lace like, its floral theme—with four-petal flower details at each of the four points of the shield—makes it distinctly Victorian.
The necklace weighs 2.37 grams. The chain is 16” and the pendant is 3/4”, including the bail.
