This 14k gold Victorian Bangle is simple and sweet, with a scrolling foliate engraving that goes halfway around the band. We love that the engraving stops in the center of the bangle—an unusual design for the Victorian era that gives a nice balance to the piece and a modernist edge. The age of the gold gives it a nice rosy hue. The circumference of the bracelet is 7 1/2” and the band has a 2.9 mm width. The bangle slides over the hand and onto the wrist.
The piece weighs 11.4 grams. Unmarked but acid tests as 14k gold.
Circa 1890’s.
