Part of Kirsten’s Corner Signature Collection, this 14k gold bezel set marquis diamond is beautifully mounted east to west. The bezel follows the shape of the marquis, while seamlessly integrating it into the band. At the points of the marquis shape, the ring shank starts as a knife edge that then fades into a rounded edge for the bottom of the band. The ring is contemporary, while the diamond is an antique stone that dates to the turn of the century. The diamond is a marquis version of an Old European Cut, with larger facets and an open culet. We love the combination of new and old in this ring! This is a great ring for stacking, as the width of the stone doesn’t extend much further than the width of the band, and the ring lays nicely against other bands.
The natural antique diamond, circa the 1900’s, measures 9.9 x 5 x 2.75 mm. It is .85 of a carat. It is K in color, VS2 in clarity.
The band’s width is 4.3 mm at its widest point, 3 mm at its narrowest. The ring weighs 4.25 grams. It is marked as 14k.
A new, one-of-a-kind piece.
