This is a stunning late Victorian era 12k gold and sterling silver diamond pendant brooch. This piece has an eye-catching, fanciful design that incorporates diamonds of different sizes, cuts, and clarity. The floral and foliate motif swirls and expands from the center. There are 68 diamonds in this incredible piece.
The diamonds range from approximately 1.50 mm to 4 mm in size. The smaller diamonds are single cut, the medium and larger sized diamonds are a transitional round cut. The largest center diamond is approximately 4 mm in size. They range in clarity from VS2 to I, the color ranges from K-M. Together, these diamonds have a combined weight of over 1.6 carats. This beautiful piece may be worn on a chain as a pendant or as a brooch. Although this piece is unmarked, I have tested the front as sterling silver and the back as 12k gold.
This antique piece has its original bail and hinge. The bail attaches to the hinge, the pendant swings from the hinge. The bail can be folded down so it won't be seen when worn as a brooch. From bail to tip, this piece is approximately 1 3/4” long. This piece is approximately 1” wide. The pendant weighs approximately 7.10 grams.
This listing is only for the pendant, which is ready to hang on the chain of your choice, we also have a variety of chains in our store!
