Kirk Sterling Silver Tea Strainer with Repoussé

A beautiful flower garden wraps its way around both sides of this sterling silver tea strainer. Designed to sit on top of a teacup, water can be poured over the leaves as the strainer holds the tea in place to brew. This is the perfect way for a serious tea drinker to enjoy tea in a ceremonial fashion.

Known for sterling silver repoussé with floral patterns, Kirk & Son is one of the most reputable producers of silverware, goblets, pitchers, and tea services. Samuel Kirk began his career as an apprentice in Philadelphia before opening a shop in Baltimore in 1815. Today, the company is called Kirk Stieff, and continues the family’s long tradition of fine quality and craftsmanship.

The strainer is 7” long with a diameter of 3 1/8”. It weighs 63 grams or 2 troy ounces. It is marked S. Kirk & Son Sterling 3.
