Circa the 1960’s, this sterling silver twisted bar link chain has a look that is sleek and organic—making it the perfect modernist necklace. Each link was individually hand-hammered and forged, with the centers and edges flattened and then twisted into shape. The end of each link was drilled through to connect to the jump ring links that hold the chain together. The sterling silver, which is tested but unmarked, has a slight satin finish to it. The piece has great movement, and the combination of the satin finish and organic shape gives a wonderful feel to the links.
Each bar link has a length of 2”, and a width of 1/4” in its thickest, center section. The length of the chain is approximately 30”. The chain weighs 28 grams.
