This is an incredible antique watch key that can double as a fashionable pendant!
This Georgian-era piece is made out of 12kt gold, carnelian, and topaz. The carnelian and bloodstone are free from engravings and are on opposite sides of the watch key. Both the circular carnelian and bloodstone have an approximate diameter of 9.50 mm. Although this piece is unmarked I have tested it as 12kt gold. The fob’s setting is typical of the Georgian era. In the Georgian period watch fobs and watch keys were very elaborate compared to the more simple pieces of the Victorian era. All along this piece are stunning engravings and three-dimensional scrolling foliate details. This piece weighs 4.0 grams is approximately 1 1/4 inch long and 1/2 an inch wide at it’s widest point.
This antique makes an eye-catching pendant and the generous, spinning bale makes it easy to hang on the chain of your choice.
This would make a fantastic gift or a wonderful addition to your antique jewelry collection!
