This is a wonderful Dutch 800 Silver chatelaine clip. It features a seated man with a crown holding a staff. Perhaps royalty, but nonetheless provocative. Dutch Silver is always so hard to decipher. This piece was made in 1902. It bears the minerva head mark with the assay office of Schoohoven, but also the city marks for Amsterdam. It has a clip and a hook for the chatelaine.
It measures 3 1/2" x 1 1/2" and weighs 27 grams. A lovely piece.
