Originally a stickpin, we converted this 15k gold Edwardian horseshoe into a pendant. This unique take on the horseshoe includes a riding crop, beautifully intertwined in the front and back of the horseshoe. The crop has twisted wirework that resembles leather rope and gives it a lifelike quality. The horseshoe is lined with bead set graduated pearls, all well-matched and in a beautiful alignment. Circa 1910, this makes a perfect lucky charm and is great for an equestrian.
The pendant measures 1 1/8” x 3/4”. The horseshoe is 11/16” x 3/4”. The bail is 5.5 x 8 mm. There are fourteen natural seed pearls that range in size from 2.5 - 3.6 mm. The pendant weighs 3.5 grams. Unmarked but acid tests 15k.
For a horse lover or anyone looking to bring a little extra good fortune into their lives.
