A stunning, three stone diamond Edwardian ring with old mine cut diamonds. The ring dates the the 1910s but the gemstones are much older, most likely early Georgian, the old cut of the stones, wonderfully chunky and irregular is the giveaway. The three diamonds measure approximately 3.7mm, 5mm, and 3.8mm. Each is unique yet similarly excellent in color and vibrancy. They are Sl!! and G/H in color. The diamonds are set high in an open carriage so that more light can pass through them, as was preferred in the Edwardian era. The top of the ring has platinum mounts and that shows off the near colorless quality of the diamonds. The band is 18k yellow gold. The total carat weigh of the diamonds is approximately 7/8 carats. The ring size is 8-1/2. British hallmarks are found on the interior of the band, but slightly faded. A superb vintage engagement ring, or for any special occasion.
The symbolism of the three stone ring is sweet, the center stone being the now and the two smaller stones the flank it, the past and future.
