Edwardian 18K Gold Buckle Ring

$1,155.00

Made in England in 1919, this 18k gold buckle ring is an Edwardian take on the Victorian symbol for everlasting love. The ring has a curvilinear nature, with a rounded crescent moon shaped buckle and curved strap. The wide band and subtle design have a beautiful presence on the hand and the 18k gold has a warm glow. Made popular by Queen Victoria, buckle rings were a favorite motif during the 19th century and have remained in fashion ever since. The buckle symbolizes an unbreakable love held securely in place, and an everlasting connection to loved ones.

The ring is marked for London, 1919, 18k gold, and contains the maker’s mark J.G. The band is 1/4” wide and the buckle is 7/16” wide. The ring weighs 6.35 grams. The ring is in very good condition with some minor age appropriate wear.

A classic design with meaningful sentimentality, this ring will make a unique addition to your collection.
