This is an incredible Edwardian era necklace made with 14k gold, platinum and diamonds. The centerpiece is an incredible lace-like, floral design made with swoops of tiny gold and platinum lines, intersecting and surrounding 21 diamonds. The shape is heart like, hanging delicately on the neckline. The care and attention required to make this piece cannot be missed!
These diamonds have an open culet and are a mixture of old European cut diamonds and old mine cut. They are a combination of bezel and bead-set. They measure from 2 mm to 4 mm and have a total combined weight of approximately 1.25 carats. They are G/H in color and VS2 to SL1 in clarity. The diamonds are surrounded by intricate milgraine work adding to the overall texture of the piece. The chain is platinum and measures 18” around.
This necklace is truly a treasure, and would make a remarkable gift or addition to your jewelry collection.
