This 14k gold Edwardian chain has five amethyst stations that alternate between five floral station elements. The amethysts are a saturated purple with hints of red, bezel set and add a great pop of color throughout the chain. The floral elements add a strong Art Nouveau flair, with a flowy, foliate feel to them. The chain’s long length of 31.5” makes it appear to be delicate, yet the chain has a nice width to it of 1.6 mm. A great stacking chain, it can be worn long, or looks great doubled. It culminates in a dog clip that is perfect for clipping charms into.
The chain contains approximately 2.4 carats of amethyst. There are five natural antique amethysts that measure 4 x 6 mm each. The chain is 31.5” long and 1.6 mm thick. It weighs 10.85 grams. Marked on the dog clip for 14k gold. Circa 1900.
