This lovely Early Victorian size 8 ring has it all. Circa 1850s, the front of the ring is set in sterling silver and the back and band is 12k gold. The gold band splays delicately on each side as it meets the center, where a flower motif surrounding a 1.5mm diamond is the star of the show. The central rose cut diamond is literally set in a star surrounded by a natural turquoise flower pattern bezel set with tiny beads. The six 3mm turquoise pieces are surrounded by 1.5mm original bead set pearls.
This beautiful antique ring is a fine example of the symbolic language of the Victorian era, when flowers became a way to communicate secret messages of love and affection. This ring makes a perfect light accessory to any hand, and a romantic gift of genuine affection.
