12K Gold and Sterling Silver Early Victorian Diamond Turquoise and Pearl Ring

$825.00

This 12k gold early Victorian ring features a flower motif of vibrant turquoise. In the center is a Rose Cut diamond set into a hand-carved star that enhances the sparkling beauty of the diamond. The turquoise flower is surrounded by bead set pearls, adding another layer of petals to the floral motif. Circa the 1850’s, the front of the ring is set in sterling silver and the back of the band is 12k gold. The gold band splays delicately on each side, meeting in the center. This beautiful antique ring is a fine example of the symbolic language of the Victorian era, when flowers were a way to communicate secret messages of love and affection.

The Rose Cut diamond measures 1.5 mm. The six turquoise cabochons measure 3 mm each and the six pearls measure 1.5 mm each. The ring is unmarked but acid tests as 12k gold and sterling silver. The ring weighs 2.5 grams.

Ring size 8, with the ability to be resized.
