This is a lovely articulated Victorian silver topped gold and diamond bracelet. The central diamond panels consist of three parts. The middle panel has a 4mm Old European Cut Diamond with excellent color and clarity. It is bezel set, surrounding that in a chevron motif are 1- 2mm single cut diamonds that are bead set and create a pave of diamonds. The diamonds continue on either side with a geometric and leaf pattern of diamonds. These panels are articulated and give excellent movement to the bracelet. There is a total of 47 diamonds in the bracelet with a combined carat weight of 1/2 carat. All of these are beautiful old hand cut diamonds.
The bracelet is silver topped with that patination setting off the diamonds beautifully. The rest of the piece is 14K gold that has been acid tested. It weighs 7.8 grams and is 6 5/8" long with the remainder of the bracelet made up of nine 1/2" articulated links. there is a safety clasp at the closure.
This is a delicate design that was masterfully made around 1880. It is a treasure to wear, and speaks of times gone by.
