This is a gorgeous 18k white and yellow gold ring, made in Italy in the Art Deco period. The shape of this ring is quite unique, with a yellow gold shell-like swirl that extends and curls down the side. Laid over the gold is a deep blue enamel that is in nearly perfect condition, with only a slight scratch.
The white gold rounded protruding center contains 19 round and single-cut diamonds set in white gold. It screws on and off with ease, providing a perfectly snug fit within the swirl setting (see photos). A string of 5 more diamonds sweeps down the side of the ring, set in a beautiful scallop edged motif. All diamonds are approximately 1.4 mm for a total carat weight of approx. 1/3 of a carat. Diamonds are well matched and likely G/H/I Sl1.
This ring is expertly crafted; a very special piece. It is a size 7 1/2 and is marked "k 18 ITALY."
