Art Deco 14K Gold and Platinum Diamond and Lapis Dangle Earrings

$1,650.00

Circa the Art Deco era, these 14k gold earrings feature a circular tablet of lapis lazuli surrounded by a halo of diamonds, dangling from an Old European Cut diamond. The diamond at the top of the earring is a 2.5 mm Old European Cut held in a bezel setting. A 14k gold bar dangles from the top stone, and attached to it is the lapis dangle. The cobalt blue of the lapis lazuli pops against the diamond halo that surrounds it. The halo is a beautiful collection of antique diamonds that includes both Old Mine Cut and Rose Cut stones. All the diamonds are bead set in platinum with lovely milgrain work around them. The earrings have nice movement to them and sway back and forth gracefully when worn. We are enchanted by them!

The earrings have a TCW of approximately 0.5 carats of natural antique diamonds. There are 41 tiny 1 mm diamonds and one larger Old European Cut that measures 2.5 mm.

The earrings measure 1 3/8” from top to bottom and are 3/8” wide. Combined, they weigh 3.8 grams. They are marked as 14k gold, and the white metal acid tests as platinum. Circa 1920. Sourced on a recent trip to Prague, the earrings contain the mark for Czech Republic on the post.

For pierced ears.
