This is a gorgeous 9 karat rose gold garnet and seed pearl bar pin. It is made in the shape of a decorative bow-like flourish, reminiscent of a paisley design. In the center are two 4 mm square cut garnets. On each of the two wings are two 1 mm cabochon garnets and two 2mm seed pearls. There is some lovely brite-cut work on the rose gold of this piece and some beading details on the edges. This pin is in excellent condition. Unmarked but the front tests to be 9K gold, the back piece is a gold fill metal, not uncommon for pieces from this time period
It measures 2 1/2" long. One of the seed pearls is a colored pearl; a light brown color (see photos). Circa 1900.
