18K Gold Tiffany & Co. Elsa Peretti Nine-Row Wave Bracelet

$8,750.00

This 18k gold Tiffany & Co. bracelet was designed by Elsa Peretti and is composed of nine wire bands that connect seamlessly in a fluid form reminiscent of ocean waves.  The bands are flexible and somewhat collapsable, allowing the bracelet a bit of movement, and the wavy bands appear to undulate as they spiral up the wrist. Though the bands are delicate, the bracelet’s width gives it presence. Known for her love of the natural world and designs inspired by nature, Elsa Peretti captures the essence of the sea in this iconic bracelet.

Elsa Peretti began her career as a model in 1960’s Barcelona before moving to New York City where she became part of the designer Halston’s inner circle. By the early 1970’s, she was designing jewelry for Halston; by 1979 she was the leading designer for Tiffany & Co., bringing a fresh and sensual perspective to her primarily silver jewelry. Elsa was strikingly beautiful and was part of the Studio 54 club scene, alongside Halston, Andy Warhol, and Liza Minelli. She is a fashion icon and has been called the most successful woman to ever work in the jewelry industry.

The bracelet fits a 7.25” wrist. It is approximately 2” wide, with some variation in width depending on how closely together you choose to space the bands. It weighs 33.9 grams. It is marked Tiffany & Co., Elsa Peretti, and 750. An iconic piece that is still being sold by Tiffany & Co. today. It comes in a Tiffany & Co. pouch.
