18K Gold Tiffany & Co. Atlas Bracelet

$6,600.00
This 18k gold Tiffany & Co. bracelet is a classic Tiffany design from the Atlas collection. Inspired by the Atlas clock that infamously stood in front of the Tiffany & Co. store for over a century, the bracelet features the roman numerals 3, 6, 9, and 12, sandwiched between clean horizontal lines in clocklike placement. The streamline design uses open space to create silhouettes out of numeric lines and angles, with a hidden clasp integrated seamlessly into one of the numbers.

The Atlas clock was carved in 1853 and stood in front of Tiffany & Co.’s Prince Street and Broadway location. The statue depicts the greek god Atlas holding a clock on his shoulders, alluding to the myth in which he was condemned to carry the weight of the heavens on his shoulders. The clock became an iconic symbol of Tiffany & Co., and was known to be the clock that all New Yorkers set their watches to. When Tiffany moved to its new Union Square location in 1870, the clock moved along with it; 35 years later, it was moved once again to Tiffany’s Fifth Avenue location. The clock has inspired many Tiffany & Co. pieces over the years—a perfect expression of the timelessness of the brand’s jewelry.

The bracelet fits up to a 6.5” wrist. It is 3/4” wide. It weighs 38 grams. The clasp is very secure and shuts with a click. The bracelet is marked as Tiffany & Co., Au 750, Italy, and has Atlas and the copyright.
