This beautiful 18k gold necklace is comprised of leaf medallions, with a sequin-like quality that catches the light. Inspired by nature, each leaf is individually cast and textured on both sides. The repeated medallions are held together by oval links that was hand assembled. The necklace is choker length. At 12.9 grams, the gold has a nice weight to it and feels luxurious around the neck.
The gold is marked “AR” for Arezzo, a city in Tuscany famous for its gold manufacturing. Arezzo is known as the “City of Gold” and considered the capital for Italian jewelry. The necklace contains the maker mark “84” and is marked as 18k.
The necklace weighs 12.9 grams and is 16.75” long. The leaf medallions are 1/8” x 1/4”. A vintage piece, circa 1980.
