This 18k gold ring is big and bold—a classic Henry Dunay design that has great presence on the hand. The ring is sculptural, with a hand-hammered finish that accentuates the large faceted planes of gold that reflect the light for a mesmerizing effect . The ring has sensuous curves and an organic shape similar to a seashell or an ocean wave.
Henry Dunay is an award-winning goldsmith and jeweler who gained worldwide recognition after receiving the De Beers Diamond International Award in the 1960’s, among many others during his long and prestigious career. His work is inspired by the Japanese wabi-sabi aesthetic, and is often sculptural and asymmetrical.
The ring weighs 16.3 grams. It is 1 1/8” wide on top. The inside of the ring contains a plaque with Dunay’s signature, the 18k gold mark, and the copyright symbol. Circa 1980's.
