This beautiful 18k gold Edwardian ring is prong set with bright diamonds and vibrant rubies, alternating in beautifully engraved crown settings. With impeccable attention to detail, the natural Old European Cut diamonds are set in platinum, a white metal, in order to accentuate the white of the diamonds, while the rubies are set in 18k gold to bring warmth to the red stones. The crown settings consist of a fleur-de-lys pattern folding over to hold the stones in place. On each end, tiny half-moons cap the stones, leading to a beautiful engraving on the shoulders of the ring—a scrolling foliate that extends three-fourths of the way down the band.
The natural diamonds have incredible sparkle. They are Old European Cut and equal 1.25 carats. The central diamond is 5 mm, and the two outer diamonds are 4 mm. The natural rubies are 4.5 mm, for a total weight of 1 carat. The ring weighs 3.68 grams.
Ring size 8.75, this ring could be sized up or down two sizes.
