14K Gold Vintage Prehnite Cabochon Ring

This vintage handmade ring features a large oval prehnite cabochon bezel set in a wide 14k gold band. The band has a raised up section on either side of the ring that features a beautiful Florentine cross hatch pattern that culminates in an arrow shape at the base and adds a nice visual texture that mirrors the texture seen within the prehnite gem stone. The prehnite is a lovely sea moss green that when viewed from different angles seems to radiate and glow from within. The translucent stone contains flecks of rutile that glimmer in the light and suggest movement within—apt for a stone known for its abilities to bring about transformation. Though we don’t normally get too metaphysical, we can’t deny that there is something special about this prehnite crystal and the depth it seems to contain. Prehnite is known as the “Stone of the Dreamer” and is used in dream work to invoke prophetic and lucid dreaming, as well as healing and spiritual transformation. The cabochon in this ring seems to evoke a certain mesmerizing dreaminess. We love the handmade qualities of the ring—when viewed in profile, the ring band is slightly off center, a detail only seen in a truly hand made piece. 

The natural prehnite cabochon is 16.5 carats and measures approximately 3/4” x 1/2”. 

The ring’s band measures 7/8” at its widest point and 1/4” at its narrowest. The ring weighs 13.65 grams.
