Here at Kirsten’s Corner, we love winged pieces. The symbology of angel wings reflect flight and transcendence. This particular piece has an Old Mine Cut diamond and wings subsequently bead set with rows and rows of seed pearls. At the top is a radiating halo, its rays each topped with an additional pearl prong set into place. The wings have a pretty curve to them, giving the pendant dimensionality.
Once a pin, we converted the piece into a pendant and attached a 14k gold chain. The back of the original pin contained a watch hook, which we left in place so that an additional element could dangle from the pendant if so desired. The wings also look perfect alone.
The Old Mine Cut diamond is 2.75mm, .08 of a carat. Bright and lively, set in a five prong setting. The well match pearls have a blue cast to them and range in size from 1.5mm to 2.25 mm. The pendant weighs 4.75 grams and the necklace is 17” in length.
This is the perfect piece for someone wishing to bring transformation and transcendence into their life.
