What we love about this 14k gold retro ring is its streamline form: the oval synthetic ruby has a curved surface that allows it to flow perfectly into the silhouette of the band. The stone hugs the band and is flush in its setting so that the ring’s lines are uninterrupted and the band has a smooth, seamless surface. The synthetic ruby is a beautiful saturated fuchsia pink—a color synonymous with synthetic rubies of the retro era, which were state of the art at that time. The interior of the band opens up behind the ruby to allow light through, emphasizing the glimmering facets of the stone. 

The synthetic antique ruby measures 9.4 x 5 mm. The band is 5/16” at its widest point and 3/16” at its narrowest. It weighs 4.5 grams. Unmarked; acid tests as 14k.
