14K Gold Retro Fairsea Ocean Liner Charm

This 14k gold ocean liner charm is cut by hand, with adorable retro line-drawing details, surrounded by a circular three dimensional frame. “Fairsea” is engraved on the back of the charm, revealing its historical significance. Fairsea was a post World War II migrant ship that made several journeys from Europe to Australia carrying people who were displaced by the war.  It transported immigrants until 1949-1969; prior to this, it carried troops and aircrafts during the war. Though the voyage was tough for many, some remember it as an exciting adventure toward new beginnings. This would be a special piece for someone who’s ancestors traveled on the Fairsea, or for someone heading off on a life changing journey.

The charm is unmarked but acid tests as 14k. The initials T.S.S. are engraved on the back next to the word Fairsea. It is 15/16” across and has a 5.1 x 6.9 mm bail. It weighs 2.5 grams.
