This Edwardian 14k gold bar pin is platinum topped with a line of diamonds bead set and surrounded by milgrain work. The tightly packed diamonds catch the light beautifully, and the milgrain work adds even more visual texture and sparkle to the piece. The pin could serve a multitude of uses. It looks beautiful suspended from a chain as a pendant, pinned on a blazer, or as a chain extender. It can also be used as a lingerie pin for a little hidden glamor that only you know about.
The pin contains eight Old Mine Cut diamonds that are approximately 2.7mm each, for a carat weight of 1ct. They are G-H in color and range in clarity from VSI to SLII. The pin is 1” long and 1/8” wide. It weighs 3 grams. The body of the pin has a shape similar to a safety pin, with an open eye that could accommodate a thinner chain.
Circa 1910.
