This stunning pair of Russian cufflinks are made in the Imperial Style of Czarist Russia. They are 14k rose gold with sterling silver fronts; that are embellished with a border of diamonds. In the center is the Imperialist Crown of Russia, made of rose cut diamonds and ruby cabochons. Behind the crown is a beautiful silver-grey guilloche enamel indicative of Russian jewelry.
The serpentine shaped border is squared off and lined with rose cut diamonds that are bead set and accentuated with millegrain. The dark patina of the silver elegantly sets off the diamonds, and the attention to detail is incredible.
The fluted bars of the cufflinks are rose gold, adorned with silver and diamond crosses. The rose cut diamonds and millegrain work on the crosses match the serpentine border of the front of the links, making them beautifully cohesive and detailed. The connecting link contains the Russian hallmark 56 for 14k and the maker’s mark “A*H”.
The four rubies are 4.75mm x 3mm each, and equal approximately 1 carat. The four larger rose cut diamonds in the crown range from 1.5mm to 2.75mm. Along the border, cross, and base of the crown there are 104 total dutch rose cut diamonds, each 1mm. The total diamond weight is .65 of a carat.
The cufflinks come in a fitted, velvet-lined wooden box, making them an excellent gift. Together, the two cufflinks weigh 19.3 grams. At their widest points, each link is approximately 3/4” x 3/4”, and the fluted bar is 3/4” as well.
A royal pair of cuff links indeed.
