In this 14k gold bracelet, the curb link graduates to the largest central link that houses a very white, near colorless Old Mine Cut diamond. The diamond is flanked by a subtle red and deep blue ruby and sapphire. All the stones are set in a six-prong setting, held up on a bar between the curb links. The links are a puffy curb, well-rounded, and hollow. They are masterfully crafted, and the interior seam is only visible under close inspection.
The diamond is a beautiful, chunky Old Mine Cut diamond. It is G in color and VS-2 in clarity. It measures 4.25 x 4 mm, and is .3 of a carat. The ruby and sapphire are both natural, with slight inclusions. They are antique cut with high tables, each measuring 4.25 mm and weighing .3 of a carat.
The curbs range from 1/2” - 1/4”. The bracelet is 7” and weighs 15.7 grams. The links close with an integrated box clasp and safety chain. The curb link is in excellent condition, with no dents. The only residual of age is its beautiful patina.
The curb link is a popular link today, but in seeing these Edwardian pieces, it is clear how timeless this design is.
