This piece centers around a 9k gold double swallow encrusted with pearls. Once a tiny pin, we reimagined it by adding the 14k gold chain. We love the delicacy of the chain—attached to the tips of the wings, it is very graceful and seems like it belonged to the original piece. Swallows are a romantic symbol in Victorian jewelry and were often worn as a sign of devotion. The tiny pearl between the two swallows could symbolize an egg or the love shared between these two birds.
The necklace is 16 1/2” long and weighs 2.63 grams. The swallows measure approximately 1” across. The pendant is marked on the back as 9k gold and the chain is marked as 14k gold.
