This elaborate Edwardian 15 karat yellow gold decorative stick pin features a horseshoe and riding whip. The good-luck horseshoe has 14 pearls that fit nicely inside of it, as if to add a glimmer of good fortune. Each pearl is approximately between 2-2.5mm. The pin has been carefully hand-made, with some nice twisted gold work, exemplified on the rope of the whip. The stick pin is marked 15K on pin which twists half way to the bottom. The twist is a nice touch, a detail that can be seen on many pins from the late 19th century.
The 15K gold pin measures just over 3 inches and the horse shoe is 7/8 of an inch. The whip is 1 inch in size. The pin weighs 5.3 grams. This pin makes a nice detail to any outfit, a great unisex gift for someone who loves horses, riding, or just needs a good luck talisman in their life! Circa 1910.
