It’s always good to have an extra long chain in your collection, and this 10k gold 52” long Edwardian chain is the perfect piece to wear multiple ways. The chain consists of a tiny long trombone-shaped link alternating with a circular link. There are six stations—four are a cool oblong link with an architectural detail, two contain bezel set pale purple paste glass stones. Circa 1910, this is an Edwardian piece on the cusp of Art Deco, incorporating aspects of both eras.
The chain can be worn a multitude of ways. A dog clip at the bottom of the chain allows a charm or pendant to be clipped in, or works as a clasp when the chain is folded to be worn as two side by side chains. The chain can also be doubled and layered around the neck as one short and one long chain with pendants at one or both intervals.
The chain is 52” long and weighs 16.6 grams. The trombone links measure approximately 3/16” x 1/16”. The stations measure approximately 1/2” x 1/4”. Unmarked but acid tests as 10k gold.
