We came across a single Edwardian earring in its original 14k gold mount, and we liked its six-prong setting, which has small talon claw prongs and makes the diamond appear to be floating. We removed the earring back and added two interconnected jump rings to suspend it from an 18” 14k gold chain. The diamond is a beautiful, lively Old European Cut with the large facets Old European Cuts are known for. We intentionally kept the jump ring and mount dainty so that all the focus goes to the diamond. 

The natural antique Old European Cut diamond measures 5.5 mm and has a carat weight of 0.60. It is H-I in color and VS2 in clarity. 

The 14k gold chain is 18” long and 1.2 mm wide. We’ve added a jump ring so that the chain can be worn at either 18” or 16.5”. The piece weighs 2.25 grams. Marked as 14k gold and Italian.
