Victorian Ceylon No Heat Sapphire and Rose Cut Diamond Heart Shaped Pendant

$5,500.00

This Victorian heart shaped pendant with three natural oval mixed cut Ceylon sapphires is a dream. The sapphires are set in a raised center surrounded by 17 rose cut diamonds of various sizes and shapes. The rose cuts have been carefully selected and are symmetrically balanced in size and shape on either side of the heart. The largest diamond measures 3.25 mm and smallest 1.5 mm in diameter.

The star of this piece are the three saturated medium blue sapphires that glow with the richness Ceylon sapphires are known for. They are certified to have no heat treatments which is very rare. They are set in long decorative prongs of rose gold creating a lift to all three stones. There is 7.29 of carats of sapphires; the stones weight is as follows, 2.77 ct., 2.74 ct. and 1.78 ct.

The heart itself is made out of sterling silver and 18K rose gold. The back of the piece is gold,  the diamonds are set in silver and the sapphires are set in gold. It has no hallmarks but has been acid tested. The stones are set in a pierced open mount with a fixed pendant loop.

The piece is accompanied by a Gemmological Certification Services certificate and shows the sapphires are originally from Ceylon, now known as Sri Lanka and show no evidence of heat treatments. Report Number: 78154-46

The total carat weight for the diamonds has not been calculated as they are rose cuts and weight difficult to determine in their setting.

The measurements are as follows: Length 3cm. Width 2.5cm. Weight 6.9gms.
